Pros

The role is genuinely varied and rewarding. As a support worker you draw on a wide range of skills administration, timekeeping, cooking, and technical abilities all in one job. The client-facing work is fulfilling.

Cons

High staff turnover and persistent sickness absence were never properly addressed. Instead of adequate resourcing, management relied on pressuring staff to work overtime. What I witnessed was performative busyness endless onboarding and supervising while real retention issues went ignored. Wellbeing policies exist on paper only.

Pros

I use to love my job but this changed everything

Cons

I use to work at making space. I was flashed at work and the person brought this up over and over. I reported this and make a statement. It was investigated and the person was given a written warning. I was ok with the outcome but the way I was treated during the process was horrid. I was told because it was a woman it wasn't malicious and if it was a man they would have been fired, that they didnt mean it and regretted it, that I needed to think about the fact I this could impact there future career. Hr never reached out to me throughout the process everything went through my manager who was on the side of the other employee. Everyone found out and couldn't cope anymore.
