Pros

It's a library one of Ben Franklin.s greatest inventions.

Cons

Director is soley by political appointment. City Purchasing practices are corrupt. Very stressfull at all levels. Positions, and whole departments can get sacked or downsized at any moment with no prior warning. Middle managers are a a bunch of weasels Theft rate is way above the average national average. Compares poorly with other systems of the same size in terms of service, i.e. circ per capita, etc.
