      Sometimes, I genuinely feel like being employed at Sample Supports has been like winning the lottery

      Cons

      Not only is constantly texting/using your phone while driving illegal, if my child was under the care of Sample Supports, I'd be suing for endangerment

      Flexibility with daily schedule Working with genuine people who needs help

      Pay is terrible Managers throw you to the wolves with no support Paperwork is unrealistic. Expect you to do three hours of paperwork after an 8 hour shift in the field. End up working (unpaid) on your weekends catching up on notes. Organization is a revolving door and company does not care to keep good employees.

      Pros

      You were able to make your own hours and when I started management was supportive and trying to get staff resources in a limited resource environment. The families were great and I had a few consistent families I got to see you for a longer period of time.

      Cons

      The fee-for-service model does not work in terms of actually gaining employment and keeping bills above water. I ended up making Billable for about half my 45 hours worked which was higher than many other therapists. Since the families experience high levels of stress and are often not able to Come in for sessions, the current employees lost hourly wages. Medical record staff was awful, slow, and vindictive. The turnover rate was high. There wa virtually no supervision or training.
