Bad leadership

Recommend
CEO approval
Business outlook

Pros

Nice products and communal groceries in office

Cons

Bad leadership, too many friends (got protected) at work - guys in upper management team lack of leadership skills, accountability. When bad things happened - pointed fingers to someone else, lie about thing which ruins trust among team - that is the worst. Only trust those they worked for a long time.

Pros

The location was wonderful, and the food was okay.

Cons

They will barely train you on their systems. Pay is terrible. No work life balance. Disrespected by upper management. You'll be a scapegoat for problems outside your control. Unable to do anything without 5-7 layers of HR and paperwork.

Extremely Toxic Workplace. Avoid.

Pros

None. Possibly above average base salary.

Cons

There are too many issues to list. This is the most toxic work environment I have ever seen. Carlo, the CAO, expects everything from you while offering no support, no feedback, and no training. You only get emails telling you what needs to be done, with zero guidance. No one under the CEO, Randy, has any real authority. He controls everything and overrides every department. Benefits are almost nonexistent. The 401k match takes six years to vest. Policies change constantly, so make sure any benefit you rely on is written clearly in your offer letter as a binding term. Otherwise, they may change or remove it. The CFO is fractional and works out of Boston. In my experience, he seemed disconnected from daily operations. Leadership overall did not seem qualified for their roles, but they all know how to keep Randy happy. That seems to be the only real job requirement. Before you join any company, including this one, you should search recent news and public records for things like lawsuits, project disputes, or lost deals so you know what you are walking into. That is basic due diligence I wish I had done more carefully.
