Pros
I work as a their digital media marketing specialist and video production. I enjoy what I do on a daily basis and Microjig allows me to use my skills to market their products online. I also assist at trade shows from time to time and it is always a great time working at these shows to get up close with the customers. Furthermore, I get to work from home which allows me to save on travel cost and meals. At Microjig, we use amazing project management tools which aligns everyone and helps keep track of projects. When I do work at the office, they provide office meals as well as host company dinners and parties from time to time. They treat me and other employees like family and that is an enjoyable work experience. I am grateful to work with Microjig and get to improve my skills along the way. I am also excited to see the new products and innovations that are on the way.
Cons
At Microjig, we all strive to get better and there are issues and obstacles that happen but we all come together to help solve them and pivot when needed. They are always improving the company and their processes as they grow. I am excited to be able to help in areas that I can.
Pros
Fully subsidized health insurance, flexible schedule, unlimited (kinda) PTO
Cons
Inexperienced, idealistic CEO with no firm grasp on reality. Despite the business profiting at an unusually high rate year over year, it was never enough. The unrealistic (and unattainable) goals imposed on employees was tied to an unnecessarily convoluted incentive plan, which served to demotivate employees, and cause undue stress on a daily basis. The office environment is uncomfortable due to the constant bickering between the father and son co-owners, which often puts non-family employees in uncomfortable positions.
Pros
Well thought out products, good quality
Cons
Leadership does not understand their business or their customers.
