Biased Leader and dumb HR

Pros

Friendly Colleagues Good learning Opportunity for Begginers Work Life Balance Excellent Safety Protocol Free meal and Transport

Cons

Extremely dirty Politics from leadership, Managers and HR department. The leader is very much biased towards specific teams. So if you are working in those teams, no need to worry. But unfortunately if you're not from leader aligned team you have absolutely no future there. Covid 19 crisis has shown their true face. Trust me. Behind the facade of sophistication and employee friendly attitude lie very very cheap mentality. Top ranked managers, senior, mid senior and junior associates are being made to resign forcefully and then they're pretending as if people are leaving on their own. But we all know you are laying off and doing cost cutting. Have that guts to announce in front of everyone. If you're a real performer this place isn't for you. The hiring committee has surprised the whole organization quite a few times by their pathetic judgement on whom to hire and whom to fire. They won't bother to kick you out no matter how highly relevant your skills are in the field. If you're pro at flattering, oiling and buttering the higher management and leaders, you're through. Again that biased Leader would decide whether you'll grow or not. Your performance not at all counts. So naturally if you're a real performer be mentally prepared for extremely slow or no growth at all. No remarkable line would be drawn between a performer and a non performer.

Pros

Friendly Colleagues Product Based Subsidized Food/Transport No Work

Cons

Outdated Technology Cost Cutting Everywhere - Layoff in US, Delay in Pay Revision for APJ Employees, No 100% Bonus, Cheating on Salary HR and Managers mouth expands till ears when they speak. They do not offer you anything but expect you to work long. Layoff happens only to Employees and not to Top level Managers in the name of cost-cutting.

Need Change in Policy.

Pros

The uneven and unfair enforcement of dress code and footwear policies at Momentive is making the work environment uncomfortable. The company needs to update its policies to match current standards and ensure fair treatment for everyone. Without these changes, employee satisfaction and morale will keep suffering.

Cons

The company's footwear policies are all over the place. IT staff can wear slippers or sandals with no problem, but others get scolded by security for not wearing formal shoes. HR hasn't made any clear guidelines about what footwear is acceptable, which only adds to the confusion. It feels like security is enforcing vague rules, and HR isn’t addressing these inconsistencies. On top of that, female employees can wear various types of footwear without any issues, while male employees seem to face more scrutiny. This uneven enforcement contradicts the company’s focus on Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DIB) and seems unfairly directed at men. The same issue applies to the dress code. Some employees, especially in IT, can wear casual clothes like collarless t-shirts with no problem, while others are penalized for similar outfits. Female employees often wear casual clothing like sleeveless tops without any trouble from HR. This selective enforcement feels discriminatory and suggests that rules are applied differently depending on role or gender.
