Thanks for sharing this! Really glad the startup experience was a meaningful one. Long hours are real in this space - it's something we're always looking to improve as we scale. Wishing you well ahead.

Pros

Free Pantry. No micro management. Fast paced start-up so you're exposed to learning alot stuffs but you gotta pick it up quick as well.

Cons

The organization suffers from a lack of transparency throughout its hierarchy. The leadership team lacks a clear vision for the final product, leading to uncertainty. There is evident bias among the leadership team, creating a divide between regular employees and management. The overall culture within the organization is poor, with unrealistic demands being placed on employees. Proper onboarding processes are lacking, exacerbating the issue. The organization also faces a significant problem of forced turnover, where employees who have made significant contributions are compelled to leave due to budget constraints. Furthermore, instances of granting a pay raise to an employee only to revoke it a few months later have been observed. As a result, the office environment can feel lifeless on certain days, and employee morale is noticeably low. Some employees feel unappreciated despite their substantial contributions to the organization.

Pros

Pays on time, nothing beyond that

Cons

1. Workplace is dominated by politics and favoritism - performance often matters less than personal connections. 2. Growth opportunities are limited unless you align with certain groups or individuals. 3. Lack of transparency in decision-making and promotions. 4. Genuine contributions often go unnoticed, while those who play politics get rewarded.

Thank you for being direct. When merit feels secondary to politics, it drives away exactly the people a company needs - and that's on us to fix. We've tackled this head-on in our performance review cycle this year, building clearer and more structured paths for recognition and growth. We know that has to be proven in practice over time, not just said. We appreciate the work you put in here.
