Pros

Opportunities for advancement with new store openings Senior Management and headquarters are responsive and proactive. Part of Richemont, nice benefits.

Cons

Tiny work environment, you will be on-top of your coworkers. Small Sales Team, if someone calls out your schedule is immediately impacted - limited work/life balance. Training is hands-on and not comprehensive. You are left to figure a lot out on your own, have to partner with people from other stores to navigate your way through the maze.

Pros

During my time with Montblanc circa early 2000s, it was a great place to work. Benefits were decent and had pension. They used to have these "goodie bag" deals where you would pay $10-15 and you would get thousands of dollars in merchandise. Once I even got a limited edition. Employee discounts were generous and incentives were great.

Cons

Over time, budgets became unrealistic, commission structured kept changing and hours got worst. There was no real work-life balance, weekends were a most to work, inventory was a chore, and hours were long. Raises were a joke but I was young at the time, what little did I know?

Pros

Amazing PTO 3 weeks back able to carry over one week

Cons

NO WORK LIFE BALANCE, days off we’re not days off The company is basically having their stores fight for inventory but want store to make their numbers without the product The commission 1-4% (if you’re able to sell what you can’t get) If you’re not making numbers as a sales ambassador you’ll basically by terminated

Pros

Montblanc is a great company to work for. Colleagues like managers are really nice and human. There is a very good work life balance. I have started in March 2021 during covid and I got a very nice relocation package that avoids me a lot of stress. This is a great advantage. One month ago I got to attend my first afterwork event and it was great to get to know colleagues from other departments. I am so much looking forward to the next event.

Cons

Quite challenging to socialize with colleagues from other departments. The headquarters are in a location which is quite far from the city center and there is nothing around.

Pros

Average Salary, Good Discounts, occasionally achievable incentives

Cons

Over worked, stressful environment, heavy operational workload whilst short staffed all year around, poor strategic decisions by senior management. No respect for individual work life balance. Always lacking in resources including basics like work phones & business cards.
