Toxic leadership, great product

Pros

Remote work was great and decent salary

Cons

The product itself is strong but unfortunately, the management and culture make it nearly impossible to succeed here. New KPIs were rolled out without any proper setup, communication, or training, leaving employees set up for failure. The targets were unrealistic and unsustainable, and when teams inevitably struggled, leadership’s response was to implement more systems and push people onto “performance improvement plans” instead of taking accountability for broken systems or getting our feedback. Countless meetings were spent obsessing over numbers rather than recognizing effort, collaboration, or growth. When an entire team misses target, that’s not a motivation issue. Yet instead of listening, leadership doubled down on blame. Morale is extremely low. Many managers and talented team members have already left due to burnout and hypocrisy…they preach values like inclusivity and transparency but rarely embody them. The sales culture feels more like a fraternity than a professional team, and unless you’ve been there since the start or early years, your voice doesn’t hold much weight here. Sad. Many complained about a leader who was dismissive, controlling, and disrespectful. Even after multiple documented complaints supported by facts, leadership failed to act. There’s no room for open dialogue, growth, or compromise. In short, this company could thrive if it treated people like adults and equals - with the same care and respect it expects from them. Until that changes, it’s a great product led by very poor leadership.

Struggling sales org

Pros

Solid product-market fit and some talented individual contributors. Solid benefits and remote flexibility.

Cons

Sales leadership lacks experience and direction. There's been significant turnover across the GTM org, including many well-respected managers and VPs. Leadership is actively reducing headcount through performance pressure and quiet exits instead of transparent layoffs. The sales culture often feels immature and cliquish, with a frat-like dynamic that doesn’t reflect the professionalism you'd expect from a company at this stage.

Pros

- Benefits are decent ($600/qtr coworking, $100/mo internet, $100/mo food). Healthcare is alright, but was better when we had Aetna. - HR is a bit better than it used to be, but still not great. Try hiring kind people for such a delicate job - Colleagues are so smart and kind, provided they are mid-tier managers and below - We still have a GREAT product! Best in the industry, hands down. It's so easy to sell prospects and retain customers, provided budget cuts aren't an issue - We have a lovely crew of POC, LGBT+, and neurodiverse folks who support each other - Long-term vets are all on the same page for the most part and also support each other -- we all miss the old days but stay for each other and our prospects/customers

Cons

- The number of women and people of color that I've seen actively leave or get pushed out of executive leadership over the past several years is alarming - Greg continues to meddle in every process (including the hiring of junior employees??) and provide very little value. He doesn't even speak in all-hands meetings anymore - Compensation has always and continues to be the bottom of the barrel for new york based employees - Engagement surveys are meaningless - CFO/COO has way too much power and continues to undervalue comp plans while raising goals - Company claims that improving churn is their main goal yet...claims to have zero time to do any genuine exec sponsorship until the rep is literally begging and drowning in a possible cancellation. By that point, it's usually already too late to save. - Risk meetings get canceled nearly every week so there isn't even an opportunity to chat through churn risks as a full team - The CS director (who is currently on mat leave, thank god) is toxic to the people around her and everyone has felt calmer in the last two months that she's been gone than they have in a full year. I'm not even on her team and know this to be true I could go on but I'll leave it at this.
