Risky Proposition - Don't Expect Much

Pros

Very small team size, hence learning is more. I work for the new business called Sarder Learning (Learning) and there is exactly ONE person per department, carrying out the duties of a VP as well as an executive.

Cons

No set work profile, impossibly short deadlines. Narcissistic top management who always think that they are right. Very frequent firing with ONE DAY notice period for all, hence can't expect job stability.

Pros

Just a usual mom and pop kind of a workplace - though the frill from outside look amazing

Cons

Feels bad to write something negative of an employer where you've invested your heart and soul, however, something that happens inside shouldn't happen to people who are clean, hardworking and focused to contribute. - High toxicity in Marketing function where leader behaves irrationally without support & guidance & fires people to hide their own mistakes. Looks like autocratic rule & dictatorship on the name of kindness. - Totally confused & dicey structures without change management process impacting people's careers & profiles. - Very weak & immature leadership. - - Too impulsive & judgmental about people with wrong perceptions built in snap moments to preserve their positions - Process Gaps, vindictive behaviour and people perception takes away ownership of performing a task properly. - People are frustrated underneath. Growth (incase) is based only on perceptions created by gossipers/favours rather than the employee's skills and potential. - Felt terribly cheated & conspired like many others who are made the scape goats to hide seniors own mistakes & gaps. No HR and Employee Care - The HR function seems spineless & with too many loose ends.

Pros

Office building is nice, with access to a lot of amenities close by.

Cons

Executives tend to micromanage employees (countless meetings, trackers) and projects being launched are unrealistic, and usually don't seen to completion. More than 90% of projects fail because they're left unfinished (and have unrealistic deadlines) and don't have a clear direction. The team in India is treated like machines. The culture of publicly shaming employees if they even make a single mistake is toxic, and causes a lot of mental distress. It's ironic that a company that discusses better ways to manage companies, is so terrible at managing its own employees. The leaders in the India office keep taking on projects to please the execs in the New York office (that they can't deliver), specialize in micro-managing employees to the point that they have to stop doing real work to talk about what they're doing, hold meetings that are completely unnecessary, all while spending more time writing about what we're doing, as opposed to actually doing it. You will also be asked to do completely random tasks; one day you might be on social media, the other day on sales. There is no rhyme or reason to the madness, and if you argue, you'll be held in contempt, and the execs in India will spread rumors about you to make sure you get fired. My personal advice to anyone considering a job here: if you value your mental health, skip this job.
