Pros

Benefit package which includes PTO

Cons

Upper Management only cares about themselves and doesn't listen to the employees. They don't care when someone leaves. They are promoting people into upper management that have no business being in charge not only of people but a company. They are not transparent like they claim they are and only care about certain people and are not addressing the real problems. If they would listen to their employees and fix the REAL problem, the company would succeed. They tell you to come to them and let them know what the problem is. When you do, they don't listen or do anything about it.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. You're describing a specific pattern: you spoke up, and nothing happened. That's not a gap in our process. That's a breakdown in trust, and those don't get fixed by telling people we have an open-door policy. You called out the People team directly. When the people responsible for culture and employee experience don't get it right for an employee, it can show up everywhere, and you felt that. Putting people into leadership who aren't ready to lead people can be damaging. It's a fair criticism to make, and it deserves a real answer, not a line about how we're committed to developing great leaders. We're looking at how feedback moves inside this company and whether our actions match what we say we believe. That work isn't finished.

Pros

Develop entry level skills with real world application.

Cons

The company is full of liars, and I don’t mean that in a hurt or rude way but this NLS lies to its clients in how much effort managment makes behind the scenes, they lie to their employees about how stable the business is, and they lie to the general public of Springfield that they are a philanthropic based company. They’re not. They sold out Springfield employees the second it was convienent.

We are glad to hear that you were able to develop your professional skills during your time with us, but we are sorry to see that you left with such a negative perspective on our leadership and culture. While we have to make difficult and unpopular decisions to ensure the long-term stability of the business, all employee feedback is taken seriously. We appreciate you sharing your observations as we continue to evaluate our internal practices and our commitment to the Springfield community. We wish you the best in your next professional chapter.

Pros

I’m not even sure there are any pros left. When I was originally hired, it was life altering. The culture was incredible, the people were incredible, and the work was incredible. It truly felt like a dream. When the company was still relatively small, it really felt like they cared for every single person there. People felt appreciated and empowered. We all did good work and it felt worth it. We were growing and succeeding without burning out. We were getting appropriate raises and bonuses. Leadership engaged honestly with us. Life was good.

Cons

At some point, something shifted. Insane amounts of money were being spent on frivolous stuff. Upper management seemed to have formed an elite clique in which greed festered. Raises became minuscule despite knocking goals out of the park. Restructuring of teams happened. “Transparency” became lip service. Policies changed. People started recognizing patterns and bringing concerns to leadership… concerns that we were all effectively gaslit into believing were unfounded. We all talked to each other about our worries and so the COO scolded us all during a monthly briefing for spreading “false rumors” about coming layoffs. He said it wasn’t true and to stop talking about it. And then, just a couple months later, the layoffs started. Droves of people who gave years to this company were dropped like trash in the middle of the day without warning. Barred from entering the office to collect their things. Shunned from attending the holiday party as guests of current employees… All the while members of leadership were posting photos of their vacations and expensive new trucks on social media in true tone-deaf fashion. Business is business but NLS has failed at their own mission statement.
