Newer supervisors micromanage all of the things that they don't need to, adding more convoluted steps to an existing process that was working perfectly fine before.

The culture is really, really toxic - no two ways about it. Information hoarding, employee bullying, no formal performance reviews and no role structures mean that you’ll only get a raise if/when the management feels like giving you one (which can take years) - and even then, the pay won’t be on par with industry standards. There’s also no HR department and no health benefits. Thus, most of the staff ends up being dejected and undervalued, always feeling like they’re doing poorly at the ill-defined roles they’ve been given.
