Steer Clear of this Cult! Toxic Work Environment

Pros

Genuinely nice people working here apart from most of the SLT, Great office space, convenient and close to Wimbledon Station

Cons

Condescending and Manipulative Leadership: The Leadership Team is condescending, manipulative, and plays favorites. No Respect for Mental Health: Despite pretenses of support, there is zero respect for employees' mental health, unless you actually burnout and hit a stress threshold. False Image of Perfect Culture: They create an illusion of a perfect "culture" for outsiders, but the reality is starkly different. Lack of Genuine Support: Promises of support during tough times are empty; they cut you out brutally without a genuine thank you for all the successful work you have done. Toxic Environment: The work environment is incredibly toxic. Need to Kiss Up: To thrive, you must constantly kiss up to senior leadership and sacrifice your personal life. Inconsistent Policies: Working from home policies differ vastly among employees. Poor Team Integration: There's no effort to integrate new teams. Nonexistent Onboarding: Onboarding is nonexistent. Lack of Compassion: Management shows a glaring lack of compassion. Burnout and Stress: While there are genuinely nice people working there, burnout and stress are widespread. If you're looking for a healthy, supportive workplace, steer clear of Nineteen Group.

Pros

Good people on the ground but they are slowly but surely being pushed out. A lot of like-minded individuals.

Cons

Like all of the other truthful reviews here, the culture and their apparent values are non-existent, more of a cult than culture. Extreme micromanagement from directors trying to prove their worth. Clear and obvious favouritism where promotions exist if you are friends with the correct person. Toxic environment, especially having to tip toe around the people at the top if they are 'having a bad day'. Zero flexibility. Don't believe half of what is mentioned and advertised on LinkedIn, avoid for your own wellbeing!

Fake culture and bad management

Recommend

Business outlook

Pros

The office is modern and newly renovated with a young team who are excited to work in events.

Cons

The culture, values and everything on social media does not align with the actual company. Management does not look out for their team. It’s all about being friends with the right people to get the role you want. If you pander to the head of sales you’ll be given some leeway. A lot of people in the company do not feel valued but nobody is willing to tell management because they will probably get fired like half of the sales team. You would be super lucky to get a decent line manager.
