Pros

As a district manager, we have the freedom to go to the stores and spend time with employees the way that we feel that is needed run the business with guidance of precision policies instead of everything falling to micromanage.

Cons

Reporting is behind at times however we just had a meeting and reporting is changing what we’re gonna get more of an accuracy of life reporting and being more consistent with it for KPI sales.

Pros

Easy job application, in an world where "no answer" job listings and automated ATS rejections are an all-time high Commission that allows you to earn an extra $400-800 for top-performing Mobile Experts. Check out as many cables, cases, and chargers, they add up! Isn't really physically demanding for a $14-15 dollar job. 50% discount on AT&T, Verizon, and a lifetime 20% discount on T-Mobile with Experience More/Beyond plans.

Cons

Very luck-based. This job is more luck-based than skill based. Therefore, it easily ends up to where most locations that have the best sales are ones that have the highest demand for phones. In my district, one location barely gets any sales because of nobody wanting to work there and lack of demand. Customers will get denied very frequently, especially with the "Call Wireless Order Support" denial which is on the carrier's end, and the red "Sorry..." denial, the latter where Walmart declines it for potential "fraud" and the T-Mobile denial stating "customer not approved for carrier installment plan". District Managers encourage Mobile Experts to lie about the first bill to flip prepaid to postpaid. I strongly recommend T-Mobile as it doesn't have the activation fee for Android phones. Verizon also has the highest price which makes them not recommended for lower-end Android phones but better for iPhones, considering it'd always be more expensive to go with Straight Talk upfront than postpaid.

Pros

The only pro is a small discount on cellular service but no one in the organization knows the correct details or the correct process to actually get set up with the discount making it very difficult to take advantage of the one plus to the job

Cons

#1 they will find any way possible to not pay you, for hourly, for commission, for mileage, for other bonuses. Management does not know or share appropriate amounts of information or data for employees to take advantage of bonus structures. Management either purposely or by accident lies to staff about the comp structure. I personally have been trying to get assistance with mileage that they have owed me since 11/1 and have dedicated hours trying to communicate with the osl team and their company that tracks mileage reports to no avail. Over 60 days, 12 emails, phone calls, text messages. No one wants to help or no one understands how to help. Im talking like 400 bucks max. Seriously should not be a big deal or so difficult but it is. On top of this the reps i worked with know so little information that people who bought phones were unaware of what they were getting into and what they were paying the majority of the time. Walmart when short staffed will take any walmart electronics member out of the electronics dept leaving the osl rep to be forced to run register for all walmart electronics purchases and forcing the rep to assist with any electronics item that needs to be removed from the glass cases. Seriously, work anywhere else. Osl will be a blip in your career timeline after you see first hand how awful it is to be part of the company. The district manager shares with me that his boss threatened them to not submit their commission to them on a conference call unless they hit more targets that their leadership was creating on the fly. Bonuses they had already rightfully earned, threatened to be withheld as a punishment. Again I cannot stress enough, dont work here.

Pros

I started with OSL in an entry-level mobile sales role, and over the past four and a half years, I’ve worked my way up to District Manager. Throughout that journey, OSL has consistently invested in my development—not just as a salesperson, but as a leader. Programs like LEAD have played a huge role in helping me grow and refine my skills. It’s the first company I’ve worked for where what you put into it truly matches what you get out of it

Cons

Honestly I could say one bad thing about this company.

Pros

Good commission and pay Good learning team and fst team was helping lot . Neighbours OSL managers awesome team. I was the manager for the OSL in the Courtney store. I was forced to resign from my job by the DM (he said the reason was that I wasn’t selling). I did resign. Last week, I went shopping and talked to the wireless associates about my plan, and I introduced myself as a former employee. Suddenly, an associate commented, "Oh, you're the one not selling Bell and Virgin."; the DM told the associate that I resigned from the job. I have family and friends working at Walmart. A lot of the time, I hear about this, but this time I found out for myself.

Cons

The DM is showing favoritism; only certain managers have full freedom and fun. I don't want to say much more about it. Most of the time, 4 to 5 stores are his favorite because his home is nearby, and he favors his own people.
