Great place if you like being a 2nd class citizen
Pros
The American CEO left the summer of 2018. The company is run by the Italian corporate office now. There is American senior management, but they seem powerless. Italian equals say different things than American leadership. The Italian corporate office treats American employees like children who do know their customers or what we are doing. Octo is transitioning from telematics solutions to IoT solutions, but the path is unclear to many of us. Stress is high, pay can be low, no bonuses this year and the entire US team is not respected by the corporate office. Many of us that stayed wanted to give new management a chance but now that we are past the holidays it may be time to rethink.
Cons
There may be a lot more job opening in the US office. Flexible work environment. The new Head of North America really cares about us but seem powerless to the Italian politics.
