not the right time to join this company they need some serious restructuring and I think they'll fail to do so as the problem is not just in 1 place its spread out in every department

Pros

Remote work and a diverse team - the fun part. Reasonable payment - The salary part is not bad.

Cons

Favoritism is definitely seen in promotions. Micromanagement Managers do not see the work that you do mostly. Does not care about people too much - zero empathy.

Pros

Lovely colleagues. Interesting industry. Global team and presence.

Cons

I am sad to say that this company is messed up on all fronts right from business strategy to DEI. As someone has mentioned previously, favouritism runs the show in this company so if you want to do well, suck it up and suck up will keep you safe and may get you promoted. People who have been promoted to leadership/managerial positions are referrals. Leadership does minimal work and has a messed up strategy. Business has been poor and the recent strategy released makes zero sense. Product and processes are being developed by people who haven't worked in Payroll, HR, Benefits so product strategy and implementation are half baked and disastrous. Zero systems/tech to manage large amounts of complex data. Spreadsheets to manage the entire customer lifecycle. Barring one POC, remaining are white decision makers and mostly men. A few promotions for tokenism but most POC people do the sweat work here. This is so sad and demeaning to DEI. All DEI exercises are run by white people. Their people strategy has become crystal clear after the layoff. It was well planned as they increased direct reports to certain managers and then fired those managers. The entire senior leadership team and People team should be replaced to build back employee trust.
