Pros

There are some great people that work here. We have fun and work hard. A lot of our relationships in our team are forged due to the extremely long hours. Great employee discounts and opportunities for free races Decent location

Cons

-The individuals that are in Global leadership positions are not qualified to do their jobs. - This year they started to force us into the office but no one is there -The Zurich team does not like hearing ANYTHING other than positive about the brand. -Pay is considerably lower than anyone else in the industry - They preach radical candor but the culture is to talk behind your back. - No investment in their people - Learning and Development are not on their radar - It's becoming clear to those of us that have been here for awhile that there is no long-term strategy for the business or the people in the offices I have been here for 2-years and see great talent walk out our doors after getting frustrated. You are losing people because you chose to ignore what's happening and not listening to employee feedback

Pros

- nice and friendly colleagues - shop credit and discounts - regular vouchers given for shop products - a lot of opportunities to do sports

Cons

- no trust from management to employees, leading to toxic work environment - irresponsible handling of COVID situation. People were asked to come to the office in the midst of the pandemic, and more the once the office was overcrowded. Even on cases when colleagues had all the symptoms, people were still asked to come to office - constructive criticism is not welcomed and not appreciated - seems to happen regularly that people are let go at the end of their probation period without a previous feedback, or any valid reasons. Three cases in 8 months. - Not really any opportunity for growth, unless you are very close to the management

Hi there. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and for being honest about the way you felt at On. We’re glad that you’ve enjoyed your team and that you liked the benefits we’re offering to everyone at On. We’re sorry to hear that you didn’t feel safe while you’ve been part of our team. We’ve followed the local regulations from day 1 of the pandemic, including strict home office rules. The wellbeing and health of our people is our main priority and office based work remains optional currently so we are surprised to hear you felt pressured to come in. Our latest survey amongst all members of our team showed that 88% would recommend On as a great place to work. We’re sorry that this hasn’t been what you felt, and we hear you. As a company, we want to learn from our failures. Please reach out to someone in our On Talent Team that you feel comfortable with and share your thoughts and experiences with them. Pros

I loved the day to day work and the people on my specific team.

Cons

As far as being progressive, the company has a great deal to learn. As of May 2019, there was one Black woman employed in the HQ office. I'd like that to have struck the people in leadership as odd and wildly troubling, but the lack of diversity was not ever addressed in any of the larger, company meetings. Comments were made by customers about the lack of diversity. And, in response, a template was created to address customers who wrote in with "political/controversial opinions." This was a rather interesting take since pointing out a lack of diversity is neither political or controversial-- it is either false or it is true. The template was 2-3 sentences long. To compare it to another template, the template about being vegan was a few, dense paragraphs. The template for political views, of course, pontificated that the company cares about all people regardless of their abilities or backgrounds. Despite that claim, there still isn't a significant representation of darker skinned people, overweight people, trans people or physically disabled people on their social media channels nor are those populations proportionately represented in their offices. To be fair, On is not unique and several retailers have been under fire for their non-equitable business practices. So On is merely one in a million and they are not the inventors of systemic racism or of gas lighting tactics. But that is exactly why I was so disappointed...I genuinely, at one time, believed they were interested in true cultural progress where all body types really are represented both on their marketing materials AND, more importantly, in their offices.
