Sometimes supervision can be arbitrary and unreasonable in decisions and expectations. Most people work until "close"...i.e. until all the work is finished, with no set end of shift time. Favoritism is part of the environment. But generally if you keep your mouth shut and do your job you won't have any problems.

Sometimes the hours can drag but you have to keep yourself motivated the weekly meetings help a lot. :)
