Cons
Cons: Work-life balance is almost nonexistent. There’s an unspoken expectation of being available after hours and on weekends, which leads to burnout. Projects are often understaffed, making deadlines challenging and work overwhelming. Communication from management is unclear. There’s a tendency to throw around buzzwords, but clear directions or long-term goals are rarely discussed. You might receive high-level guidance but are left figuring out most details on your own. Limited resources and outdated technology. Despite being an IT company, many of the tools and systems are outdated. New tools are rarely approved due to budget constraints, which affects productivity. Minimal support for professional growth. Training is limited, and there’s not much in the way of mentorship or development programs. Employees are expected to “figure it out” without sufficient guidance, which can be frustrating and limiting, especially for junior staff. High turnover rates. Due to the intense workload and lack of clear direction, many people don’t stay long. Constant onboarding and reorganization disrupt workflow and make it difficult to form lasting connections with teammates.
