Poisonous work culture, lots of racism & politics and no growth
Pros
There is a lot that is wrong with the Hyd R&D centre. From the company's motto, one would get a misconception that Hyd office would be a world class centre. But in reality, it is a poorly managed office with no vision and a very poisonous work culture. The management does not cares for its employees. There is no investment done in employees in terms of trainings or any opportunity to learn. Once hired, the person is expected to perform from day one on the job. Apps team is the worst. It is like a career suicide if anyone joins in the application team. Pros: Discount on phones once a year. A person gets to learn a lot from the company's negative environment and unprofessional people. Once you are here, that person would know exactly what to avoid in future.
Cons
No work-life balance. In current times of Covid-19 pandemic, the management has forgotten all boundaries and forces the employees to work even on Sundays. There is a concept of compensatory off in the policies but in reality, it is not to be found anywhere. They will call on the personal phone number even at midnight and would pressurise to follow their inhumane demands. Female employees are not pardoned either. Lots of politics. The company itself expects a high iteration rate and displays it as a plan/strategy in all hands meetings. Lack of professionalism among employees which is actually cultivated by the higher management. Deep routed racism right from the top management to the bottom level employees. People speaking local language are endorsed while others are suppressed. Poor HR and anti-employee attitude in terms of policies. HR only acts like puppets in the hands of HQ and higher management. All power with HQ people and local leaders follow their orders to the word. Lack of any vision whatsoever.
