Pros

They provide a computer, so you are spared that expense. They maintain computer and even send you a new one should the first one break down.

Cons

They keep you at a low pay scale if you send reports with blanks to QA. Yes the doctors are extreme ESL and many times you are competing with ringing phones, loud laughing and talking at nurses' station. It is difficult to get much about 10 dollars an hour.Supervisor cannot transcribe or answer word questions. They do not treat you very well and are not "people" persons.

Pros

Really great place for medical transcriptionists to work. The recruiter is very sweet and informative. The training is comprehensive. MTs get paid well for training and receive a lot of support. The platforms are easy to learn. One of the best things about Opti-Script is the IT department. They are always patient, never easily ruffled, and are readily available. Feedback from them is nearly instant. They will fix whatever your problem is. Also, OSI provides you with the PC/equipment to do the work. Their benefits are great. The only reason I am leaving is to "downsize" my own workday to something simpler.

Cons

Frequent changes in leadership structure.
