Old boys' club

Pros

A solid product with excellent communications, science, and engineering behind it. Easy-going co-workers who get amazing things done. Oura ring truly benefits its users in understanding sleep, rest, and behavioral changes.

Cons

Oura keeps hiring for culture fit instead of culture add. Some parts of the organization incorporate a command and control culture and extreme favoritism of old colleagues. If you are not part of this old boys' club, getting your work respected or getting to work on interesting projects is impossible.

Pros

Working on a product with a potential.

Cons

* Very bad onboarding and off-boarding. Onboarding to the code base was around 10 minutes. * Most of the things related to the codebase are not documented anywhere, and there are no team-wide engineering or communication practices. * Huge gap between Android and iOS teams; * Bad communication skills from managers. Goals, tasks, and deadlines are not explained clearly * Feedbacks are ignored * Blame culture * Lot of evening meetings and no respect for work-life balance * Overseas communication * Awful health insurance that does not cover many important things * Lot of egos and unwillingness to solve the problems

Pros

On Fridays a stipend for Doordash in hopes that you'll ignore the dumpster fire the other 4 work days

Cons

Leadership is not leadership, lacking experience is unable to get you to the next level or even support you in your current role. Boys club, very few women, theres even men working on the women's health feature. Dishonest, launching the next generation ring, taking pre-orders & charging people but the ring does not have all of the promised features that were a part of the next generation ring, The company all the way to the top, hid behind the aage-old"its a start up culture, fast-paced, you need to be agile and able to pivot"... It is not a start-up theres 400+ employees working there, its not ffast-pacedIts the blind leading the blind and disorganized. The interview process was a bate and switch. You are not apart of building out processes collaborating with other teams etc etc. you literally sit there and answer tickets and are monitored all day by key stroke
