The talent. Amazingly talented coworkers.

Cons

Everything that's not the talent. Awful management, petty issues dominated everyday life. Pay was below half of what my peers earned at other similar shops, less than half of what major employers in similar industries pay. Constant fear of unemployment both between poor management decisions and idle threats made every day felt like a gamble with your livelihood. Incredibly high stress with no reward. Stay away.

Plenty of opportunities to work with local businesses in the Capital District, and see your work in the world.

Cons

Poor organization, little to no process, consistent hot mess, totes themselves as a X year old startup - which is not a good thing when you're in there. Leadership doesn't seem to care too much on your growth in the business or compensating you for the amount of times they will have you bend over backwards. Great place to go to burn out, but meet extremely talented creative.

Con artists not-so-extraordinaire. Underpaying, backbiting, infighting. A family company in the worst way, good luck criticizing the "CEO" when his sister is the HR person. A lot of old employees who work remotely and don't participate in company culture, a lot of stories about how great it used to be, a lot of toxic fiefdoms warring. Dark inside.
