Thank you for your review. The review says you are a current employee, however, you are not currently employed here. It's unfortunate how some of these reviews come across to people who don't know PAM's Auto. In this case, we do hold employees accountable when they are not staying on task or make mistakes that cost the company thousands of dollars - that is not "micro" managing - that is managing. We do our best to disclose who we are in the interview process. We communicate that the job pays well, but we do expect people to work safely and efficiently. Productive and safe employees are always rewarded for their hard work when working here.

Pros

The coworkers are great, everyone was friendly and willing to help out.

Cons

It's a small company that tries to operate like a large company. Many convoluted rules and operating procedures that didn't make sense. When suggestions with reasonings were made for improvements to processes, they were often ignored ignored with "that's not how we do it here." Management would try to catch employees breaking safety rules, while ignoring the rules themselves. Wearing safety glasses, hi-vis, and gloves are very simple rules that were constantly ignored by some in management, but if any other employee were caught they would get disciplined. If your work area had too much clutter, you would be criticized/disciplined for blocking access to safety equipment or exits, while there were multiples of each in any given area. Meanwhile, pallet racks in the warehouses would be blocking fire exits by more than 25% on certain doors, and when brought up on safety meetings were ignored. Much of the facility was "built" by the owners, it's a very hodge podge building, warehouse, and racking system throughout the facility.

We appreciate your perspective and respect your opinion. In order to shorten this response, we would just note that nearly every point you brought up feels to be either taken out of context, contain many inaccuracies, and/or are completely false. That said, they are your opinion and you have every right to your perspective. We wish you the best in the future.

Pros

Pay isn’t bad, but tough to say that when they constantly find ways to penalize you.

Cons

Ownership is very out of touch with all departments and doesn’t respect customers or employees. This has trickled down into to upper management and department managers who are trying to stay under the radar and not be yelled at by ownership. Speaking up with a new idea or disagreeing with anything puts you on a short list and they find ways to retaliate. Overall a very toxic culture where very little support is given to staff. Not a place to work if you value being appreciated by management.
