Pros
I met some absolutely incredible people who, like me, were entrapped by the promises PAPER made them - we thought we were getting paid to help elementary and high school students around North America.
Cons
There are too many to name. Working here was soul-sucking, but I'm not sad for myself or my coworkers. I mostly feel for all the school districts and teachers that believed that PAPER truly wanted to help students who are disadvantaged or unable to access resources. The only people at PAPER who care about the students the company promised to uplift are the tutors, yet they're too burnt out from the manipulative and dishonest behaviour of upper-level management to truly be able to focus in on students. Every time myself and my team would bring up our concerns to senior-level employees, respectfully and repetitively, we were met with condescension and annoyance. Unless your job is to sign more schools into the multi-million dollar contracts with the scam that is PAPER, you are essentially irrelevant to anyone above you in the company food chain.
