Pros

The Technology team was amazing. The ones who are left are still amazing. We did a lot of great work there.

Cons

Shame you can’t give 0 stars to a company. The c suite saved their jobs and all of upper management only to get rid of most of the company. You know, the workers who actually did work? Funny how they got to keep their cushy salaries but they somehow decided to give all of their loyal hardworking employees 4 days of severance. CEO (AKA Cowardly Employed Officer) came on to a video meeting and said sorry your positions have been eliminated and I’ve gotta go. On the video call for two minutes, if that. Cowardly, shameful and a slap in the face to all of us. Never work for a company where this current C Suite works. They will kill any company they are attached to.

Pros

The product team WAS a well oiled machine with great culture. Was.

Cons

The exorbitantly-paid leadership team hired me and then a month later laid off 1/3 of the product team, including the visionary VP who built the team from scratch. I wouldn’t trust any offer they made at this point. Without a robust product team I give this company less than a year.

Pros

The only good thing leadership of this company has ever done is step back and allow the directors to manage their teams the way they want. The tech organization was the embodiment of collaboration, efficiency, and productivity because we were all treated with respect. At the lower levels that manifested as motivation and genuine concern for the quality of the product. Big kudos to the managers and leads who did their best in a challenging environment.

Cons

Leadership of this company had zero concern for the people and processes under their care. When information became available it was hidden, soft-peddled, or straight-out lied about. Firings and lay-offs were handled in the most inconceivably childish and cowardly way possible, with the CEO refusing to take any responsibility for or part in the activity. Managers who were losing their employees were notified just minutes before the meeting and then left to break the news without any justification or empathy from the levels above. This company's business model was nearly foolproof and leadership still managed to run it into the ground to where they needed a bail-out and merger due to their bad financial decisions.
