1. Chairman has a vision, but nobody will ever say its bordering on delusional
2. BD team focused on "vapour-ware" powerpoint presentations and fabrication of capability, the thrill of the chase is what drives them, delivering on the promises is a challenge.
3. Staff are treated like replaceable parts in a machine.......btw, the machine is not firing on all cylinders....
4. Absolute disrespect for employees, some of the most unprofessional behaviour I have ever witnessed from corporate affairs, where personal disputes discussed at the lunch table and personal feelings clouding judgements
5. Company culture is appalling to say the least with no company supported activities
6. Inherent backstabbing and cliques make it impossible to drive any improvement initiatives
7. Organisationally retarded (middle management are totally ineffective, through the directive of top mgt)
8. Employee opression is evident in all facets of the organisation, senior mgt seem to thrive on it...maybe even enjoy it
9. Fear is a generally accepted tool for dealing with staff
10. Morale is not considered at all - neither is a healthy work life balance
11. Borderline illegal HR practices (holding of passports, unauthorised charges against salary, charging for visa / EID, compulsory training during Ramadan to extend working hours)
12. Nepotism is rife at Pacific Controls, be careful who you hold counsel with
13. Staff attrition rates are way above average for the UAE
14. Senior mgt would rather campaign for improved comments on Glassdoor than addressing root cause of discontent
15. Don't expect training but where it is provided expect to sign a lengthy commitment.
16. 6 day / 57 hr compulsory weeks, no flexibility and draconian monitoring and control (if your considering a role here please ask at interview)
17. Canteen is borderline legal entity that makes you eat off paper, like a puppy
18. Think carefully before accepting a job here....
