Pros

They represent a great product line: Owens-Corning, Tex-cote of America, Anlin Windows etc. I sold some deals on my first month.

Cons

The actual sales system is efficient, however, expect to be extremely aggressive towards your customers to the point of being belligerent. Multiple price drops and Hard sell closing is mandatory if your customer doesn't sign on the dotted line after the first closing attempt. At the end of the process, you'll end up looking like a desperate car salesman, doing the whole back and forth on the phone with your manager, using gimmicks to drop the price and at the end of 3-4 hrs, looking like a complete fool in front of your tired, pissed off homeowner who just wants you to get the Hell out of their house. Long story short, your professional presentation and credibility goes out the window with the homeowner if you can't close on your first "pencil". **Apply at your own risk. ** If you're the type of salesperson that only chases the money with no regards to your customers or your own dignity and willing to sell your soul to the Devil, then go ahead and apply, you'll fit in perfectly with these characters.

Pros

(I worked in the sales dept.) Dynamic, fast paced work environment, great opportunity if you are ambitious and driven. All sales leads are company generated (no cold calling) and you often have time between appointments to take care of life's errands. You can take as much time off as you like with far enough advanced notice, although it is a 100% commission based business model so there is no paid time off. The majority of my colleagues were great to work with.

Cons

Occasionally long hours Monday through Saturday 9am to sometimes 10pm, no set appointment schedule, very high turnover in the sales department, they need a mentoring program to reduce turnover in the sales force. W-2, I would have preferred 1099.
