Let me tell you about Panavision in 2019;
- They are losing their image so bad because of many reasons. Their golden years are over, people don't need this brand to make great movies.
- They don't care about you at all. You are totally expendable at this company. They think they can find another cheap employee by using their name. Once you enter the company with big dreams, you start to see the reality in a short time.
-They pay you so little that it is no different than many retail store clerk jobs in your neighborhood. My local used clothing store will pay you more.
-A horrible and poor management with arrogant GM. The department heads are all about saving company's image. They will destroy you for that. HR is all about paper work, nothing more than that.
-This company has probably the highest turn over rate compare to other camera houses. There are amazing smaller, less known camera houses where you can learn more, make more money and work with people who have less attitude.
-You either want to make network and get into physical production or stay in the company and grow, forget about it here. You will not be able to make the network under the pressure of the management every moment you spend there or you will not make good enough money or increase in salary to have a consistent and decent lifestyle.
-It's so political work environment with so many uncomfortable employees. People feel so pressured to act themselves which makes everybody moody and fake in the company.
-If you want to be a part of film industry, try smaller or new camera houses, you will get the most out of them and also give them back in the future. If you want to have consistent salary, there are many other businesses where you can make more money and enjoy your work environment.
