Pros

-Benefits (medical/dental but with high deductible) -holiday pay -sick and vacation provided -Admin days offered for those that reach monthly hours -Opportunities for training* -Gaining experience working and assisting clients with behavioral health struggles -Learning to search for resources -Hours can be accommodating -experience you will gain working one on one with youth and families. Very rewarding! -Support from clinical staff (ie) therapists that ACTUALLY WORK with clients and have experience working with clients (not just passed their LMFT to never actually practice)

Cons

-Leadership is known to be exclusive and preferential of particular staff as seen by staff that are less penalized than others for the same issues. Additionally, leadership lacks clinical experience, and practice working with clients and cannot provide support to staff as effectively. -toxicity and low morale among employees due to lack of proper training, and ethics -hefty monthly hours that can be difficult to manage unless you half perform your job. Or lie about the visits. Or work during hours that are not allowed. -issues among employees that go unresolved because management lacks training and empowerment to absolve issues that will create strain and division. -concerns regarding boundaries, professionalism, and conduct in overall employees -*training is offered on a case to case basis which means not everyone receives training that would be helpful in the degree of work performed. So demand your training! -you will use your own vehicle and you will be responsible for your own wear and tear -mileage is not always dispersed on time or at all which means you could be losing $100-$200 per month.

Pros

-The clients are great -The work itself is rewarding -Decent short-term opportunity to learn about residential care

Cons

-EXTREMELY ineffective management; very, very poor leadership skills, inexperienced, don't seem to know what they're doing, no one is on the same page, and in some cases lack even basic English language skills. -Extremely understaffed; high turnover due to employee dissatisfaction and burn-out from being overworked -Management is downright disrespectful to staff (ie. come in early for review, manager doesn't show up, instead decides to reschedule it over the phone without telling you first, and adds that you're not getting paid for showing up early, either.) -No systematic training; they will criticize you for doing something wrong without ever having told or shown you how they expect it do be done in the first place; promised NVCI training but yet to deliver -Employees are a mix of educated people who care and do most of the work, and others who admit they don't even like working with children and do not follow protocol; apparently, there are no hiring standards -Owner runs many businesses, brags about his wealth, clearly does not actually care about helping people, just filling beds and making money -No real benefits or perks

Pros

easy to build rapport with clients

Cons

Doesn't care about well being of clients, don't treat staff well, not providing enough support to clients, poor upper management and poor communication with staff, they claim they are transparent and they're not, unethical, high turnover, poor salary, non unionized, editing documents for their own benefit, front desk (daughter) has access to everyone's emails and she delete's emails for company's benefit to leave no evidence, doesn't matching workers to clients well, hiring people with no experience & no desire to even work with this population, some say they're only working here to get a paycheck but don't like this kind of work, insufficient training to staff, management doesn't want to deal with upper management (head office) , multiple cases at supreme court against Bruce Moerike for non payment to staff, family is writing reviews on here (son and daughter) to get better ratings
