The major issue at CPS is that it seems as though management has no concern for work/life balance. Customers are, in fact, the number one priority, while the employees seem worthless. There is an expectation to work long hours daily with no compensation. Instead of paying overtime, employees are made to leave early on slow days (generally Fridays). The bonus structure is quite ridiculous and equates to 3 value meals at a local fast food chain per month. Vacation hours are laughable unless you've been with the company for over 5 years. The morale is extremely low, as well. The employees seem to plot their departure silently waiting for the day that they can turn in the almighty resignation letter! The only employees that get breaks are smokers. Leaving your desk for more than five minutes (while not smoking) is frowned upon. Coming in late or staying home to take care of your child(ren) is frowned upon. Happiness is frowned upon.
All in all, if you need a job, this is exactly that: a job. No more, no less. There will be no growth, no (serious) wage increases, and no appreciation for your hard work and dedication. *You may meet some amazing people, though...if they haven't all left.
