Pros

SOME of the employees are very understanding and great to work with. Only good to show on cv. Worst place to work.

Cons

Bad management. There has been 4 different managers throug out this year all of which are terrible. They do not care about their employees. They treat us with no respect. Lack of communication between managers and employees. The pay is no enough for the amount of stress they give us. Management team do not know what they are doing and don't know how to manage. They only care about profit yet they are not willing to invest more to the company. Always understaffed! Management DO NOT provide the training required to use the camera and tillls. Other employees are left to help and teach them or they have to ask. We use to have only a 30 min unpaid break so food had to be eaten quickly, however they did change it to 45 mins now after numerous complaints. There is a lot of favoritism amongst some members of the staff and management team. Opportunities are given only to those that the managers like or get along with. There is no loyalty to those that have worked in the company for years. Thier organisational skills are terrible; sorting out peoples breaks and what time they have to leave. Sometimes i have been left and forgotten unless I remind them where i am and what time I arrived. I have been paid wrongly on many different occasions so I have to chase them up to pay which usually takes months to sort out. This has been an ongoing issues for the last two years, and it is STILL not sorted out. Equipment is outdated but they are not willing to fix it or upgrade. System is always breaking down so they lose sales. Constantly saying sorry for things that are not even your fault to the guest because of either the quality of the product. You are left in one position for hours on end unless you complain to move, but most of the time its too understaffed to swap positions. They do not care about your health then they complain when you call sick when your job is to blame because they did not provide with winter coats until much later. Management treat you like crap and expect you to do a lot more work when in fact they have never been in that position before so they have no understanding of how you are treated by other employees and customers. Team leaders hardly do any work other than stand around and keep take tea or cigarette breaks. I gain no benefits from working here. HR team are not helpful at all. They are absolute idiots who don't know what the hell they are doing seeing as it takes months for them to sort something out. lack of communication. The list goes on. I absolutely hate working for this company and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Pros

Picsolve works with Merlin Entertainments who own some high profile and exciting parks and attractions. There are some really great people who work here and there is a real 'hero' element to how some work. This can be a pro or con depending on how one is used to working, i.e just figure it out and hope it goes well while running around fighting fires (pro) or organised considered and professionally executed projects (con)...

Cons

It is a real example of all mouth no trousers company who sell a big show but cannot deliver in a professional manner on any level constantly. Which is a shame as it does seem to have good potential but the issues its facing are many and complex leading to a catch 22 situation - the harder you try to fix things others who like a lack of transparency fight it and throw stones in the direction of your best efforts. I have witnessed practice that I have never seen before and been shocked at the lack of professionalism across the company which stems form the complete lack of stable recognise structure I had to wonder what the operations director was operating, The culture at Picsolve is one of its biggest problems, senior management seem to sit on top of the pile and have very little process of structure in place so they roles seem to be to largely hand out criticism, pointing the figure at their own staff and lynching them when things go wrong (and often do) and take the credit when somehow something comes off well. After a few years of that they get promoted higher and good people are recruited and are often busy trying to work in a professional organised manner, they eventually are either burned out in the process of fire fighting, leave, or are forced to by tactics that could be considered 'bullying'. There is a face doesn't fit approach to staff and if it doesn't then you time will be short and painful. The CEO is a man with little charisma and less leadership skills and the buck stops with him on all the above issues making Picsolve a company heading no where and dragging its staff with it for all their efforts.

Pros

Great if you want a first time job and want to just work on the weekends or if you happen to know someone in the company that is in management so you can get ahead in the company.

Cons

Constant overworking in the elements; weather: of hot sun, rain, cold, and bugs. They have no consideration if you or one of your family members becomes sick and you have to take off they give you point duductions no matter what the reason is. Photo hosts are placed in booths all day unable to leave unless a lead is able to releave you, which means no restroom break and lots of bladder/urinary tract infections. Constantly saying sorry for things that are not even your fault to the guest because of either the quality of the product, the computer/camera skipping photos of a guest/family, or because of how a sign is worded because the guest thinks he or she will get a printed photo along with the digital copy on their usb. Only having about 7 to 9 minutes to eat lunch because the rest of your lunch is spent walking off the clock to the eating location and guests approaching you asking questions when you are not even clocked in anymore as well as going to the restroom. Management lies to its employees about safety, costumer service, promotions, and its products. Management tells its employees to lie to the guest as well about the quality of the products if for say a brick wall came out too bright or dark or the color looked terrrible they would tell you to tell the guest that it would either darken, brighten, or the color would change over night once it is dry.
