Pros

When deadlines aren't tight, the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. Chain of command is fairly clear, and management is on the floor - there are no "ivory towers" here. There is minimal "office politics". Everyone is fairly blunt, in the good way. The company produces literal hundreds of products, as requested, and there are always new projects. As a result, there is very little monotony for anybody other than the machine operators and a couple of office staff. Lunch and breaks are paid - up to an hour per day.

Cons

PFP is transitioning from a small business to mid-size, so significant changes to practices and procedures have been implemented in the past couple of years. For manufacturing and maintenance, there has been a lot of pressure due to a busy schedule and shortage of skilled manpower. The company ostensibly runs two 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, but increasing demand has caused somewhere between a third and half of all weeks to have at least some OT, up to two 12-hour shifts, 5 days per week. Most employees are required to work through a staffing agency.
