Don't trust this company

Pros

You get to work with fun and talented people

Cons

Just read the title: do not trust this company and it's owner. The proof is right here on Glassdoor, read the other reviews, it's been rated 1 star with terrible reviews until the last days, in 24 hours more than five 4/5 and 5/5 reviews appeared, and guess what, they all contain this company owner's slogans about being a growing start up and the motto "sunny Malta", not suspicious at all. I wouldn't be surprised if they came from the same ip address or from some friends. If you don't trust me, instead, just read how he is responding (officially as playmagic) to the other bad reviews (if they're not been removed already), almost instulting and sharing sensitive informations about its former employees. The team is made by a half of interns at their first experience in this industry, regular employees that didn't resign yet have delayed payments (and salaries are not high), plus, contracts are managed with delays. Right now the tech team is made by one intern, new interns won't have a mentor in the days coming by or will have to start doing some kind of queue in order to have their questions asked, since they're growing in number everyday (even if they're called juniors sometimes). Computers and hardware/software inventory overall are not appropriate for the job. You get the promise of high end titles and opportunities but what you will be working on is mostly optimization and realisation for third parties' bad designs that you wouldn't want on your résumé once you see the final product. The team is good but discouraged by the choices and behaviour of the owner, that translates in a lot of overtime and unfullfillment. As stated by the owner, the company is going to grow and get better, I really wish that to the team, unfortunately the speed of response for this kind of things is so slow that you probably won't notice differences any time soon, you're probably going to get a simple sweetener and that's all.

Not paid final wage

Pros

Malta is sunny especially during the summer, lots of touristy things to do in your spare time. the team itself was nice and had some talented people.

Cons

malta is expensive because of all the tourists, low rate of pay, often late with payment with no warning making paying rent very stressful, not paid final wage for leave notice, owner matches profile for psychopathy - ego, self serving, lying
