Pros

1. Swedish/scandinavian technology work culture - Flex time, Fair leave policy, Reasonably "rational" decision making, smart phone reimbursement. 2. Very competent technical colleagues in Scandinavia. 3. Excellent place for application (front end) skills such as Ruby on Rails. 4. Possible onsite opportunities for technical employees in Sweden, Denmark etc.

Cons

1. Insufficient long term training of employees in India. For example, no consistent policy towards sending engineers to present at conferences or learn new skills at training events. Swedish or customer languages not taught at company expense. 2. First branch out of Europe and hence a multi national environment is very much a work in progress. While Swedish management makes reasonable attempts, there still persists a us vs them cultural bias against Indian engineers. This is also partly because Swedish management don't (pay to) hire best quality Indian talent. 3. Minimal innovation. If you are looking for patents or any path breaking engineering work, this company is not for you in the next few years. 4. Despite being a product development company, overall business is oriented towards services projects. This skews management priorities towards time reporting and project management (writing project proposals). 5. Senior management relies overly on HR who has not yet earned trust and respect of many senior employees. 6. Reluctance to develop business models for Indian customers. 7. As long as its a small team, there is not much scope for recognition of leadership traits or initiatives outside of defined work.
