Pros

Honestly the only good thing to say is the supportive and down to earth colleagues in the same unfortunate situation, the mistake we all made by starting to work here. We were all very open with eachother and supported one another in finding a new job. They also have quite a competitive salary, but trust me it is not worth it. If you are a part-time working student though, which they have quite a lot off, this can for some be easy money and you get to work from home.

Cons

-The whole organization is chaotic, inefficient and potrays as a professional company, which is the opposite to the reality experienced by all employees working here. -Top leaders yells, swears and treats employees very poorly. -Inefficient: Never any feedback from the top leaders other than “This is bad, do better” and also very vague and unclear micromanagement which makes it hard even for senior chiefs to know how to manage work and other employees. They barely answer any emails and shuts the door in your face if you try to talk to them. Consequently, many colleagues find themselves at the office without assigned tasks, resulting in inefficiency and wasted talent. -The office location is very far off. Several were promised when hired that the office would change location more central which never happened. -You are not allowed to work from home. A few have negotiated 1-2 days a week work from home, but it has also been taken away from employees working here. -Several colleagues was verbally promised a pay raise after 6 months when being hired that later is being denied ever to be said. -You are basically forced to take vacation in july, if you do not have earned vacation you are feeling forced to take unpaid or advanced vacation. The list can be made endless, but this is a few experiences mentioned. In light of these issues, I strongly advise against considering employment with this company. If you are contemplating it, conduct thorough research, visit the office, and speak to current colleagues for a more accurate understanding of the working conditions. Be aware that daughters of top leaders, who are not employed, have conducted interviews without the knowledge of the person being hired who they are.

Pros

Primrock has a cool business model and strategy, in an interesting and fast growing industry (energy storage and capacity services). It all seems very timely, smart and successful.

Cons

The company - a small startup in the energy storage (large-scale batteries) and capacity services - struggles big time with retention of employees. In fact, during my brief time there we saw a 40% churn and an average tenure of around 4-6 months - for both junior and senior employees. The leadership (founding duo) at Primrock is simply horrifying: authoritarian, micromanaging, erratic and inefficient. On top of this, they are incapable / unwilling to change. I have never in my career seen anything so dysfunctional. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

Pros

Good pay and collegues, not much more than that!

Cons

The founders of this company are literal psychopaths who can't communicate, handle conflict, or run a business. They argue with their employees over small unnecessary things like small children. Very controlling culture where they want to know exactly what you are doing all the time, and all times must be reported in detail. And if they don't like what you are doing or don't agree with an opinion you have, they will ignore you and act as if you do not exist or make you feel stupid. Both the founders have a feeling of superiority over their employees and think nobody is smart, except for them. And they use that excuse to make you feel stupid, even though every employee is highly educated. The work tasks can change every five minutes and you will most likely not work with anything longer than a week (without getting credit for your work of course). Also, most of the things we do, needs to be reported in a report form and presented like a school, every week/every other week. During these presentations the founders feel free to insult your work in every way, without giving you feedback on how to make it better. Which make you as an employee feel like you are not doing enough, even though you have worked hard. Overall, this company is very unprofessional and very mentally draining. They have had many incidents with a lot of employees (both junior and senior) and caused a lot of problems that could have been easily solved, if it weren't for their big ego. More than 10 people have been hired since this summer and all of them is actively searching for new jobs or have already resigned. There is no structure in this company, and it’s very apparent. Some employees don’t even know who they report to or who to ask a question, whether its work related or administrative. Overall, they treat you very badly, yell at you and everybody else, slam doors shut, use foul language and can be very dismissive. If they need something from you later, they can suddenly turn very sweet and try to talk nicely to you. But that only lasts until they get what they need. And you can only imagine when you resign how they treat you. You become the founder’s true enemy and they will treat you accordingly. And this wasn’t the first time this have happened; they hire people every now and then and people either resign because of the toxic environment or they stand up for themselves and the founders find a way to fire them!
