Not a positive place to work

Pros

It's a decent first job. There are some nice people manager level and below.

Cons

I can speak about this for hours. The micromanagement has gone out of control since scaling up. Over the past year, they've added far too many layers of middle managers. No one knows what they do all day. At the same time, they have a million ideas on how we're doing our jobs incorrectly. Hugely out of touch and ineffective leadership. The CEO is universally disliked. There are no company values because our CHRO hasn't bothered to do it. No one knows what we are doing this for. The company has lots of selling points they love to tell candidates. One of which is their average manager age of 25. THIS IS A RED FLAG. The result is a blind leading the blind situation where inexperienced directors are micromanaging inexperienced managers. This leads to a lot of hardship for the associates, who are all fresh grads and just don't know any better. Senior management has no interest in the day-to-day of the job, and leave the majority of work to the 20-somethings in the company. The blatant sexism and sexual harassment are abysmal here. Senior management is completely dismissive of sexual harassment claims, taking a year to fire some of the worst offenders. It's widely accepted that women have a ceiling here, and are very rarely promoted past the manager level. Don't believe me? Take a look at our leadership team and see if it spells out diversity. Clients are ok but don't really value our work. Many of them are 22-year-old interns who treat us like crap. The highest performers tend to leave after a few months, because they realise they can make more money doing much more interesting work elsewhere. proSapient pays the lowest of all the major expert networks, including Alphasights and Thirdbridge. If you're interested in the industry, I strongly urge you to apply elsewhere and not to bother with this place.

Pros

-Nice people -Decent pay for a grad

Cons

-Boring monotonous work -No training, stuck doing the same thing day-in, day-out -cliquey -immature environment- think uni sports lad, not professional and very rude -Extremely salesy, was sold as a research role. It's not. -Long long hours- more than 9. Don't expect a full lunch break ever. Prior to leaving, all I was doing every day was sitting on LinkedIn spamming people. Maybe this has changed now, I don't know.Extremely high turnover- 1 person leaving a week. This isn't good in a company! Bonuses get taken away easily if calls are cancelled- have some lenience! Give us some money for 15 units not just 20. Team lead does the least work and takes most of the commission. Told to keep working on projects that are going nowhere, leaving less time to work on active projects.

Sorry to hear you feel this way. We are in the process of implementing training across the business and have made changes to our recruitment process to more accurately reflect the role. We also review our compensation regularly so that we can remain competitive within the industry.

Pros

Some great young people.

Cons

The bottom line is that staff are treated badly and that there is a fairly toxic culture! The managers are young and when the going gets tough their inexperience shows.

We are sorry to feel this way. We are a company that prides itself in having provided management opportunities at an early stage to talented individuals and the current times would be challenging for any manager no matter what experience they may have. It is a shame you do not feel you can raise any constructive feedback you may have as there are plenty of avenues to do so.
