Pros

Protrain is a virtual company and employees get to work from home. That being said, employees are chained to their computers and expected to be available after work hours and on weekends.

Cons

There's a Sesame Street song that goes, "One of these things doesn't belong here..." When 1 out of 5 reviews is completely different from the others, it's imperative to question that authenticity of the "1 that doesn't belong." I have to wonder if perhaps the CEO or COO might have written the most recent review of Protrain. To my knowledge Protrain does not have an intern. The other reviews reflect my experience at Protrain.

Pros

There are NONE except some nice people who work and have worked there. All of the good people have left or are trying to leave.

Cons

ProTrain is an extremely unprincipled, hideous, repulsive, and amateurish place to work. The other negative reviews on Glassdoor were 100% accurate, truthful, and spot on. The one “positive” review by an intern (I never heard of an internship program at ProTrain) is clearly written by the CEO or COO. Not one employee truly enjoys working at ProTrain and everyone there is looking to leave soon after they arrive (as many, many have). The abusive, offensive, and immature practices of the “Leadership” in the company continually highlights their infantile, immoral, and adolescent mind-set. Almost no person has lasted more than a year at the company due to the juvenile, shameful management methods and manners the CEO and COO employ. I have never been in any organization run by such insecure and self-doubting people. If you are thinking about joining the ProTrain Team please read all of the reviews regarding this unpleasant, shameful, and callous organization. There have been many amazing people who have worked there for a short period of time—and they all left due to the complete lack of professionalism, ineffectiveness, and inability to lead in any acceptable, skilled manner. Deceptively and untruthfully posting a “positive” and “glowing” review by an “intern” on this site further highlights the level to which ProTrain’s “leaders” will not stop at repeating their unethical, immoral, and dishonorable business practices.

Pros

Absolutely no redeeming qualities for this company

Cons

No morals and a complete lacks of ethical business practices. ProTrain is very well versed in misinformation and misrepresentation. Their misinformation is based on a COO who has zero experience in the continuing education market place. He often promises things to partner schools things that are not even with his span of control. To fullfill those promises he often bullied both employees and content providers alike. This heavy handed approach has resulted in ProTrain losing their quality employee base as well as any quality content provider. The COO's solution to the loss of quality content is to replace that content with much lower quality content or "just copy and reproduce" the no longer available course content. And throughout this process, ProTrain never informs their partner schools of the changes to their content. This misrepresentation of content has lead to a massive rise in student complaints about course content to the partner schools. And in true ProTrain operating fashion, they ignore all attempts by their partner schools to address content issues. This strategy of deception begins and ends with the CEO and COO of ProTrain. ProTrain also treats its employees with a tremendous amount of deception. ProTrain company operating expenses are taken out of commission checks for the sales staff. Concerns about this highly questionable practice were often met with statements such as "you are lucky to have a job" (ProTrain CEO 2011). This attitude of deception and unethical business practices is systemic within ProTrain. Many institutions of higher learning have made the following statement about the COO: "Mr xxxxx is no longer welcome anywhere on our campus or within any business dealings the university may have with ProTrain in the future."
