-Emergence of AI has hurt company growth with little opportunity to return to growth.
-Poor, inexperienced management has led to frequent pivoting (projects stopped/started based on opinions and not data)
-As it's a startup, most of the managers became managers by simply being at the company and are more ICs. They lack training and the softer skills required to be effective people managers.
-Like most of tech, there have been layoffs (including 1/2 the company during one round)
-CEO smiles on camera and during company meetings, but 1 on 1 is condescending and threatening. Unfortunately this makes for a toxic environment.
-Product is behind competitors. New updates are simply the same features bundled under a new name (AI!) or are attempts at reaching parity with competition.
