Very unpredictable workplace environment - every week my responsibilities changed and I was eventually shoehorned into a role that was irrelevant to my background/expertise
I originally interviewed with the expectation that I would actually work in the lab and help to assist/facilitate with experiments/PGT-A testing and while this occurred initially I was eventually removed from that role and molded into adopting more of a customer service/secretary position that I personally did not care for. Don't be surprised when your job responsibilities change and you find yourself folding boxes/preparing folders for a majority of your time. There was also alot of pressure to sacrifice your personal time for the benefit of the company (I was pressured into coming in on the weekends more than occasionally). Although this isn't the company's fault necessarily but I also had an issue with the amount of smokers that were around the company facility - very hard to avoid secondhand smoke on your lunchbreak's etc (keep this in mind if you're working here because it is something I would have liked to know beforehand).
