Pros

Valuable mission and work, dedicated staff and supportive management, great reputation throughout Philadelphia.

Cons

Organization is growing at a rapid rate; while this is a good thing, the organization is experiencing growing pains. Policies and procedures change extremely frequently, you're never really sure who to contact when you need something done (because of all of the changes).

They do great work, but work their employees way to hard and don't compensate accordingly

Pros

Great work for the city of Philadelphia and the mission is great, to end poverty and homelessness in Philadelphia. Most of the middle management and other regular staff is amazing.

Cons

They work you way to hard. if there is a job description, its outdated, and ever-changing. They make you wear many many hats and don't compensate you at a fair rate. probably the worst pay rates in the city of Philadelphia's non profit organizations, yet they run on a 20+million dollar budget

Pros

The mission is truly admirable and inspiring. Coworkers were friendly, hardworking, and chill people. Very community-minded workplace with no pretense.

Cons

Both programs and administration are perpetually underfunded and understaffed, and yet Project HOME continues to expand rapidly every time a donor wants a new building or a new idea has caught the upper management's fancy. There are barely workable systems in place for an organization half its size. This means that staff often find themselves lurching from crisis to crisis. There is constant turnover as both operational and administrative staff get burned out.
