Pros

If you like being told what to do and how to do it, this may be a good fit

Cons

The main service this company aims to provide is establishing and managing a Project Management Office for IT teams at pharmaceutical companies. They have lost 4 clients, out of 8, over the past year and conducted no research or information gathering to identify the cause or improve anything about how they do business and why they've lost this work. They have also lost nearly 40% of their workforce within the past year, which speaks volumes since they are a company of only ~30 people. They seem to have a revolving door. Finally, they refuse to use IT tools to enhance how they do the simple business of managing projects, making their way of doing work outdated. Based on where the industry is heading, unless they change this and adjust to the progress happening around them, the company may not be able to acquire new clients and support their existing staff.

Thank you for taking the time to share this perspective. We’re sorry to hear about your experience at Project Outlier. We are proud that the vast majority of our team enjoy a collaborative and fulfilling career with us. Additionally, we cherish the partnerships we have with our clients, and we celebrate the instances in which our team members are offered to work directly for our clients. That said, as hard as we try to do the best, we don’t always get it right, and are always looking for ways to improve. Our dedication to helping our employees identify where they want to go with their career, and then doing whatever we can to help them get there, is what sets us apart. We wish very much success and utmost fulfillment to you in your future endeavors.

Pros

The company's focus is and has always been "we'll get more work when we do good work", which I admire. Many talented people are your coworkers. Small company with a vision on growth, therefore, there are lots of opportunities to seize if you have the desire and the ability.

Cons

If you're capable, you might be asked to wear different hats, which can be long hours at times. Ultimately, it's a consulting company, so you need to have the will and skill to do consulting.

Pros

There was potential to be a decent position and company.

Cons

The volume of turnover is extraordinary, the CEO does not know how to run the business or lead people.
