Pros

Really nothing that one can think of

Cons

Let me share a very structured reason why this probably is the worst place to work. 1. Management: It is old, rigid and cannot accept change, it truly is a 'League of Extraordinary Gentlemen'. The place is roosted on by individuals who on paper should have retired, but since even the higher brass don't care about it, things just move along. There is no strategy, no business plan, no goal to achieve. Any other organization would have had individuals fired, it is the most incompetent bunch of people who run the show, where decisions are taken on how the mood is that day, and on how well the lunch was. I have been part of meetings where managers have taken over the work of juniors (verbatim with spelling errors) and passed off as their own. This place is not run by leaders, it is run by bullies, and as with all bullies they are nothing by a smoke screen, they lack moral fibre and are only in the lookout for themselves. 2. Salary: They are ok with this, although there are no allowances and the PF structure is quite bad. Although this is not actually a trade off when it compares with other things 3. Benefits: None whatsoever, there are bonuses, although they never trickle down to you. No matter how hard you work, they will never come to you, the organization is a retirement fund, and as is the objective with any fund, maximize gains ASAP for specific people. So, incompetence, non-performance will be attributed to you and if there is any bonus that the parent co in US would have assigned will be pretty much gobbled up by the top. 4. Employee Engagement: If you like the idea of eating samosas from a small little canteen to celebrate occasions, while the top brass goes to all fancy places spending thousands if not tens, for false pretence of been classy and rich on company’s money, then this is the place. Employee engagement is limited to having large gatherings when the 'bosses' from US land in and the office is paraded and red-carpet treatment is meted out, read extending one’s tenure as part of post retirement strategy, employees are made to ask planted questions, and everyone is misguided into a non-existent sense of belonging and success. 5. Attrition: This place has people moving in and out like a Metro station, the company likes to always mentioned an amazing statistic ' We have hired so many people' what they fail to tell you is that, it is to fill the empty spots. Interviews happen every day, since the demand to find someone new is never ending. 6. HR: When told to jump by the management they ask how high, in the true sense the HR doesn't function with a brain of its own, well one can question it could be due to the fact that it actually doesn't have one, there is no sense of responsibility, there is no employee welfare only farewell. They are in a true sense a hiring agency, they actually don't have the time to do anything else 7. Learning & Development: Oh yes, this is something good. If you want to learn how things are done incorrectly, how not to talk to people properly, to see self- praise in action, experience bad management, then I'll suggest you come here stick around for a year (you'll resign by then) and learn a thing or two. 8. Travel: This is great, you will never get to travel, any travel that is assigned for L&D, if it requires travel time in flight you aren’t going, it'll be your boss. And if you do, you shall be reminded every passing minute, how lucky you have been to see what a plane, the airport looks like in real life and had the opportunity to eat in a RESTAURANT (ever heard about that before, you schmucks) In all sincerity. If you don't wish to waste time in your career, suggest find other option, you will not regret waiting and finding something else. This place offers nothing but belittlement, bullying by the management, harassments in all sense (yes there have been cases that have been hidden). I do not know how many people read this, but if by reading this you will choose not to join good for you.
