Pros

flexible time, no dress code

Cons

plenty of politics, company doing well financially but a miser when giving appraisals which are single digit increments. someone had rightly said a few reviews back that management is forcing employees to write positive feedback on glassdoor to cover up the negative feedback but the truth will never be hidden for long. HR is in-experienced and she too is in the company because she has personal contacts with the senior management of the company. all senior management know each other since school and college days and they run this company.

Thanks for your comments. Regarding performance and compensation reviews, we benchmark our compensation including annual increases against other employers in Mumbai, and the data does show we are competitive, and average raises are in line with the market. Regarding management forcing positive comments, this is not true. Employees are made aware Glassdoor exists and encouraged to post truthfully, however there is no specific guidance regarding specific comments that anybody should make, and certainly nobody is "forced" to post anything, this is fully at employees' discretion. We would like to encourage everyone working for this organization including those who have been associated with this organization in the past to provide their candid feedback about their experience so that those outside of this organization looking at Protegrity as their potential next workplace will get more insights from a larger group of people.

Cons

Unprofessional hr and management team in India, no respect for good employees, even these glassdoor reviews are being forced. Good for people close to hr & management. Some managers are only doing meetings and they dont know our products at all still they have advices for better process and better goals.

Thank you for your comments. We're sorry you're not having a good experience here. I have shared this feedback with other senior leaders here. We do care about employees having good relationships with leadership and with each other, and if this didn't happen with your manager, we sincerely regret that. Since we're growing rapidly, we have promoted or hired a number of leads in the last 1 to 2 years, and we have conducted a leadership development program over the last year, so we do hope we're getting better in this regard. Regarding management forcing positive comments, this is not true. Employees are made aware Glassdoor exists and encouraged to post truthfully, however there is no specific guidance regarding specific comments that anybody should make, and certainly nobody is "forced" to post anything, this is fully at employees' discretion. I welcome you to contact me directly to discuss your concerns in more detail.

Thanks for your thoughtful comments. Indeed, just paying salary on time is a low bar, and it is concerning to see your "cons". First one fact we can share: Out of 150+ employees in our Mumbai facility, only 6 were put on plan or asked to leave for performance reasons in the last 12 months, and in an org that doubled in size in 2 years (from 75), this is an incredibly good ratio. If somebody close to you was let go, we do regret the impact it may have had on your and your team's work, and regret if the nature of the change wasn't communicated well. As a matter of policy we do believe in "open door" regarding questions and concerns about organization. Please do feel free to ask your manager, or HR staff, if you have such questions. If discussing with your Manager or HR does not resolve the issue, do not hesitate to escalate to me. - Regarding your other concerns, it can happen with such rapid growth in the last 2 years, senior people need to be brought into the organization, and it takes time to learn our unique and diverse technology. We have put a variety of training programs in place for this. And we are continuously improving our program management and project tracking processes so we can stay nimble and productive in a growing organization - which has led us to bring on board a team of project managers. We do believe in continuous improvement, nothing is perfect right away, so your feedback to your manager or your scrum-master on how to improve would be very welcome!
