Pros

- Working hours are reasonable. I don't think any employee worked more than 40 - 45 hours a week. - The partners are not judgmental. They are not too intrusive and one of the partners is extremely polite. He's a Zen master. - You can swear all you want. One of the partners swears a lot so I suppose its only fair that he is cool when other employees dish it out. You don't have to be politically correct. They encourage free speech and all that jazz. - You get to work on a lot of projects and interact with a lot of startups. I personally developed an innate sense of understanding about which startups will work and which won't.

Cons

- The compensation is completely incentive based. If you bring in a client and they pay, you get a piece of it and the rest goes to the partners. They also take equity stake in these companies. You will get a very low number even though you are doing all the work and the partners are just busting your balls. The problem is that their target audience is early stage startups and most of them don't have cash to pay you. So they do two things. First, they have endless meetings with you, take you for a ride and then say no after 3 months. Second, they say no at the beginning. If there is one thing I learnt there, it is that all entrepreneurs are attention-seeking a******s. Since your compensation depends entirely on it, you don't earn anything. I didn't earn a dime while I was there. The only ones that sign up are rich 40-somethings who have the money to pay you to take their mediocre startup forward. - Their engagements are short term so you might be earning 5K one month and earning 0 next month. Extremely unpredictable and consequently extremely stressful. - One of the partners is extremely abusive and condescending. There are times when he is great and there are times when he is just downright horrible. Like I said, its great if you are looking for an unpaid internship that will teach you a lot but you can't make a living working here.
