This place is a joke...

Pros

It’s a fun job for ONLY a couple of months then get out.

Cons

This is NOT a career. It’s actually a joke of a job to say the least. The owner walks around like a clown and thinks she is more then just a store owner. She is all about drama and LOVES starting stuff with her employees. With the owner being a joke there is no leadership in the store so nothing is ever being done or it’s done incorrectly which makes it an extremely stressful environment. It has the highest turnover rate with employees. The owner will tell you anything and everything to get you hired but do NOT believe anything. You will not be traveling and there is absolutely no benefits and don’t believe whatever “title” she gives you... everyone is a manager of something.

Pros

Absolutely none, keep looking.

Cons

Sickening and disgusting treatment of employees. The most unprofessional work environment I've ever witnessed. Company is run by owners who hire employees with false promises and lies only to threaten them with their job on a daily basis. They will try to get out of paying anyone more than they have to, use you and then discard you, No raises, no benefits, a long history of former employees problems ranging from those who haven't been paid properly, stolen wages...this list goes on. No one stays with Pure long-term.

Pros

Where do I even start, Where do I even start, this is my second time working at Pure. Originally I worked at HQ in Atlanta at Pure Atlanta, about 8 years ago. That was a crazy time. It was a group of girls that were at the heart of it retail people but also we loved Pure and everything it stood for. We all love the same type of music and the feeling of the clients and the company. I feel in a lot of ways that time that really built the company, I remember being in the store when Gucci Mane would come in with Wakka Flakka and at the time they were everything. The next week Tip would come in and buy something for Tiny while groupies would follow him in and ask him to buy them things, that was before we closed down for celebrities. Now when Lil Baby comes in with Gunna the whole store shuts down for hours. Anyway back then, That was the start of the brand, we were always the first to see the celebrity as soon a rapper got a record deal or a foot ball player got their first contract they came to Pure. We loved it we were so young and crazy. At the time I was only a key holder, my job was based mostly on selling and my numbers, I was a great sales person but I really wanted more responsibility but I had to wait for someone else to leave since there were no openings for the management job I wanted at the time. That is part of why I left for a minute, also I needed a break from working I just wanted to travel. Anyway now I am a store manager and my job is a lot different. I am still very focused on selling and sales but I also have a lot more responsibilities like operations, scheduling, payroll, and most importantly the performance of the people that work for me which is the most exciting but also challenging part of my job. Also, Now I work at the Miami store which is a little different. Actually, the whole company has changed. It still has that lit feeling but it is soooooo much more corporate it’s like the company grew up and all these new systems in place really help me to do my job better. I don’t think Liz or anyone knew how big Pure could really get but it does seem like this was all part of her plan. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were 20 more stores in 5 years. I also was impressed with how Pure was able to change the designers they worked with from the old days to now the most high end designers like Balmain, wow. Overall I love working for the company, I love also my team. I hired several new people to work for me and really enjoy my day, I guess that’s one of the perks of being a manager, you choose your team. Overall I am pretty sure I can achieve my goals here and I will remain really happy.

Cons

Well the cons also remain the same and I don't know how to fix this but scheduling is always a problem when you deal with young people I have heard every excuse in the book from flat tire, to dog is sick and it's crazy. I guess this is part of dealing with young people but It is very annoying when someone is scheduled and they don't show up then I have to come in to cover their shift.
