Pros

Good experience, looks great on resume

Cons

There is no work/life balance, burn and churn environment, not much support/mentorship for junior roles, will work you till you burn out, politics and favoritism is rapant, and the pay is so far below average it's ridiculous

Pros

The creative team is extremely talented. Can bring dogs to the office on Fridays. Bar Carts on Fridays were fun. Halloween was the best.

Cons

- Required us to be in office during the pandemic - Reduced salaries while requiring us to be in office during pandemic, then CEO went out and got a new Porsche that he drove to the office. - Sick days and PTO were in the same bucket, which is a crazy concept during a pandemic. So people were coming into the office sick, because they wanted to save on PTO - No work life balance at all. I was working all day in the office, then would get home and have to send deliverables out to clients. I would often work up until 10 pm and would Slack my boss for time off to eat dinner. - Paid their employees SO LITTLE. Traffic Coords making around $39,000 and Account Managers/Executives barely touching $45K - No room for growth within company. Look at the parking lot. You can tell everyone is underpaid based off the cars. No matter what position you're in, everyone drove around the same "type" of cars. No room for growth in company, so no room for pay raises (i.e. - going from a Toyota to a Audi) - Building is made from metal so it's warm inside all the time. Helpful during the winter, during the summer, not too much. - Health Insurance was SO EXPENSIVE

Thanks for your input. I'm glad you enjoyed the cultural part of the agency, which many people still play a role in creating. For clarity, we did not return to the office for over an entire year as the pandemic hit all of us. We then went to a hybrid model that we still successfully use today. As you know, we are extremely tied into the restaurant space so when the pandemic hit, we unfortunately felt it immediately. As our clients have grown, we have increased our pay substantially and are very competitive in the market. And because of that, people are also given the ability to grow even more. In regards to my buying a Porsche, while it may have looked new, it was over 3 years old. I drove a 2005 Mercedes before that. I'm sorry that you did not enjoy your time at the agency. If you ever want to discuss any of the Advice to Management thoughts, I'm more than willing to listen and learn.
