Pros

As usual from other reviews, Work from home is a great benefit. CEO Paul is very inspirational, Motivating personality. Great support on conferences (financially). Great support for trainings and certifications.

Cons

1. Filling 8 Hours per day is painful when there is no sufficient work available within the team. We need to find work from our team or other teams to complete 8 hours, even though its duty of the manager to assign work. 2. Some employees sitting from years, decades and have a very good hold in a company and they can easily blame newcomer. I had a very bad experience with my Manager and Colleague as they are blamed for no reason. God knows well what is happened and unfortunately, management has to listen to one of the employees and blamed me on all the corners. But they will pay/suffer definitely and finally forced me to resign from Pythian. This is really unacceptable and unexpected. 3. Lot of politics 4. To fill the 8 hours time, it will force us to fill wrong time to customers. Else we our salary will be dedcuted or have to pay leaves. This is bad part of the company, I recommend to change the policies. 5. I have seen resources, who fill 2 hours for even 10 minutes of work. Customer finally a big looser.

Great to hear you enjoyed the flexibility to work from home and the benefits we give towards employees professional development. I also agree that Paul our CEO does a great job at inspiring the team which makes us feel well connected to Pythian’s mission. I acknowledge it’s not always an easy task to fill hours when there isn’t sufficient work however billing unworked hours is a violation of our policies and is unacceptable. I am sorry that you feel your experience with our long term employees wasn’t great. I, however, have seen the support tenured employees have given to new hires and a mentor role they’ve taken on to share their knowledge and experience with the team. Our global team is comprised of many long-standing employee Laureates ( employees at 5 and 10 years tenure) employees who make up about 25% of our organization. I would absolutely welcome you to reach out to me if you'd like to discuss specific concerns that you believe have not been properly heard. You can contact me directly at graham@pythian.com.

Pros

Good employee benefits and work from home/remote option. Flexible work timings. Global presence and diversified team. Strong focus on cutting edge technologies. I have executed and learnt decent stuff during my tenure with them.

Cons

Highly insecure company - may be one day you would be asked to leave your job due to changing priorities of their business requirements or as a result of the re-organization. Company is not focusing its business growth in few countries/country and as a result there is no job stability for employee working in such regions/region or Timezone.

Pros

my personal experience doesn't think of any pros.

Cons

HR management - Very bad they don't give proper experience letter and salary slips even after 10 emails and several phone calls when the employee has left the company. Senior Management - Worst they hire their relatives/friends and start politics against the ones who are really sincere and genuine. Benefits - Bad They had promised several bonus but nothing was given. Work Culture - Bad You won't be appreciated nor your birthdays will be celebrated and also you'll not receive any gifts on Diwali. Zero growth for freshers. I would say no growth for anyone as there are no projects. lay off was taken place considering senior Management's family and friends. on the offer letter they had given BNG but they asked you to come to HYD COMPULSORY, but pythian policy says if you are unable to join the office you can wfh. If planning to join Pythian India, Please don't join. consider these things and then join.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We were very disappointed to hear you not only had a negative experience working at Pythian, but also when leaving Pythian. Putting people first has always been at the forefront of our values and building a culture where everyone feels valued and belongs has always been important to us. That is why we offer a variety of events and programs to try and foster such a culture. Some of the events we have been proud of as our Summer Socials, Fun Fridays and Holiday Virtual Calls. In addition we have services and people programs such as Wellness, Culture Ambassador and a variety of other initiatives that support the experience of our people. We continue to work on our programs everyday to better suit our Pythianites’ needs so we would like to hear more about your experience in more detail. I would strongly encourage you to please reach out to Camila Suvaric, VP of People and Culture, at suvaric@pythian.com.
