    Uncertain Times

    Pros

-The work is technical and there is a lot to learn if you have the appetite to absorb a lot of knowledge. However, be prepared for LONG hours if you get stuck on some projects.

    Cons

-The managers push you to get your professional engineering license, however, once you get it there is no salary increase. Managers give the carrot stick promise of salary increase but when the time comes they walk back the offer. There is quite a lot of chatter regarding this amongst EITs and recent registered professionals alike. There is currently no benefit to obtaining your professional license, except you get more responsibilities and liabilities. -Recently quite a lot of intermediate-to-senior technical staff have left the company. The company is averaging a couple key-personnel departures per month as of spring 2022, including the former CEO in short notice. There is an appetite for more townhall-like updates and discussions but none have been scheduled. -Current management has been even less transparent than before. I would say market compensation was handled extremely poorly with questionable data and a lack of action. This lack of action and follow-up caused a huge backlash and even more questions. The management has left many technical staff in the dark with no updates. Had this been handled correctly and without such hype up the morale would have been higher. It is an open secret at any given office that staff are unhappy.
