The ROWI employee rating is in line with the average (within 1 standard deviation) for employers within the Healthcare industry (3.4 stars).
I’ve been with ROWI for about 5 years now, and it’s honestly been one of the better companies I’ve worked for. The medical benefits alone are a huge plus they’re better than what I’ve had at bigger companies like American Air and even other mental health providers like CARD.
There’s also real opportunity to grow here. I’ve been promoted three different times during my time, and they’ve kept pay pretty in line with what you’d expect in the current market, which isn’t something every company does.
The culture is very team oriented and family like. Management has always been understanding, especially when I was going to college full time when they worked with my schedule instead of against it. Same thing when I had to be out for a few weeks due to medical issues, they were super supportive and never made me feel like my job was at risk. I would say 90% of other companies would not have been so patient with me.
If you're looking to dip your toe or get into the mental health field, i'd say this is the spot for you. They really support people to get the degrees and licensing to advance not only in the company but in their career. Their goal is always treatment first.
Even for people who are not in the medical field but would like to work for a good company who treats its employees like actual humans and not some number that can easily be replaced. They also give each location a budget for team outings so staff can get out and decompress since the higher ups understand the job can be tough and really prioritize mental health.
Cons
Some processes could be more organized and consistent as the company grows. Keeping staff notified of upcoming changes, positions, and new offices would help with some of the confusion.
Clinicians doing great work, easy to support the cause, enjoyed knowing colleagues
Cons
Just never felt comfortable. Often did not feel supported or heard, sometimes felt like I was trying to avoid punishment instead of plan for success. Can you say favortism? Would get nickeling and diming on legit work expenses but then hear bragging from owners about how much money was being spent on expensive personal purchases.
